1947-1954 Series 1 Chevy GMC Truck ChassisG-Machine Chassis
#1 Schwartz Performance Chassis Dealer
You are bidding on a "base" chassis only, call for adding Brakes, rearend and shocks.
Full frame chassis, now available for 1947-54 vehicles, has been upgraded to full mandrel bent frame rails. This not only provides a much sleeker and refined look, it adds even more strength to an already solid chassis, allowing us to remove much of the cross-bracing in the center of the chassis. This opens up your cars underside to new routing options for exhausts, brake lines and fuel lines.
Base CHASSIS includes:
A fully welded chassis, built on a precision jig
Adjustable transmission crossmember
All front and rear suspension components (excluding coilovers): control arms, ball joints, tie rods, power rack & pinion, aluminum front wheel hubs with bearings, and teflon-lined heim joints for a quieter & bind-free suspension
Payment terms: 75% down at time of order, remaining 25% due before shipment.
Shipping: For an assembled frame, we use an enclosed car transporter. If you don’t want the frame assembled, we’ll ship it truck freight in a crate. There is a crating fee which will be determined upon ordering.
11947-1954 Chevy/GMC Series 1 Truck chassis features:
Utilizes same suspension geometry as our proven car frames. Bolts in to stock locations.
Only things needed to be done by customer/builder: Exhaust system, & steering shaft (we can supply pieces to connect to a column).
Our full frames for 1947-1954 Chevrolet & GMC Series 1 pickup trucks fasten to the cab & bed the same way your stock frame does. There is no floor cutting required, and the ride height is dropped from stock. The Ridetech coilovers used have adjustment for damping and ride height to give your truck an edge in autocross competitions as well as the ability to have a comfortable ride. All of our chassis utilize the same suspension geometry, which means your truck will now have all modern suspension and steering components and geometry.
This Schwartz chassis allows up to a 335 wide tire to fit in your [mini-tubbed] wheel wells, & we recommend up to a 265 wide front tire.
Unit being sold as an unassembled rolling chassis. Unit will come with all hardware required for assembly.
