    Description

    These are antique Art Deco 18K solid yellow and white gold (tested) pierced post earrings with rose-cut, genuine diamonds in a flower setting, ruby accents and a lattice design.  The earrings are a little more than 5/8 inch high (10/16 inch, to be exact), 1/2 inch wide, and weigh 3.5 grams.  The earrings feature a locking, hinged back with a notch for the post, which indicates they were made in Italy.  To remove the earring from your ear, you push the post up gently to release it from the back.  There are hallmarks that are too small to decipher, but there is a tiny "M" or "W" on one of the marks (see close-up in 4th photo).  These rare, unique earrings are in excellent antique condition: one ruby has a flake, visible with a 10x jeweler's loupe.
