We had always enjoyed this exact item at a favorite restaurant years ago (they used it for concealing/holding various pkg sweeteners) and our young son loved it. It has a look that can work w modern or traditional decor. Fast forward to 10+ years later and I happened upon it on eBay! Great price and product for a tasteful and fun way to hold anything. I'm actually planning to buy another one or two right now. Mine is currently on counter filled with Gourmet Virginia peanuts. Love the simple yet clever design and it works smoothly.
I'm a big fan of powdered sugar for dipping cookies and other tasty treats. This sugar bowl is nice and wide once opened and easy to use without creating a mess. The stainless has a decent weight about it and is easy to clean and keep shiny. The style is unusual and looks great sitting out. No mess occurs from opening and closing the roll top style cover. I highly recommend for sugar, sugar cubes, kosher salt for cooking or wherever your imagination may take you.
My other sugar bowl was always messy with sugar around the edges. This sugar bowl always stays clean and nice. I keep it closed when not in use. It is easy to clean and keep nice. I did not want a bowl with a spoon because I keep the spoon on a spoon rest. This holds about 1 cup of sugar.
