I found this at a thrift shop and it was not working. I brought it home and put in a new C sized battery. The second hand acted funny for a short time and then it seemed to start working fine. It seems to be keeping the correct time. However The alarm does not work very well, it does not seem like it goes off at the time that it should. Selling this for a fun decorative item only, I do not recommend using this to wake you up for work or school. I don’t guarantee it to keep the correct time either although it does seem to keep time well. In fact I went down and checked on it a couple days after I set it and it was keeping time. Cosmetically it is in pretty good shape with some light scratches here and there including the bells where the dinger hits. There is corrosive residue and/or staining on the battery terminal as shown in my picture. I will leave it to the buyer to decide whether they want to clean that or not.
