AR Qanhari Dirham of Amir Muhammad-I of the Habbarid Dynasty
The Habbarids ruled Sind from the 9th to the 11th century. The region of Sind lies in the modern day regions of South Punjab and Sindh in Pakistan. The Qanhari dirhams also known as the Dammas were mostly struck principally at the cities of Multan, al-Mansura and al-Mahfuza.

Refercences:
Fishman and Todd: Type HS-14 listed as very rare (RRR)
This is one of rarest issues of the entire series, based on the recently published catalogue by Fishman and Todd. This issue is listed as being extremely rare and given a grade of RRR. This is a very nice specimen with the name of the Amir clearly readable on the obverse. The Kufic is highly stylized and crude (angular) and the
deterioration
in style indicates a late Habbarid period i.e., late tenth or early eleventh century.
