We are offering...
A signed Sigmund Freud "thank you," letter written in German. This letter is adressed to Käthe Katharina Breuer who was the daughter of Freud's longtime protegé and mentor, Dr. Josef Breuer. Breuer was a distinguished physician who specialized in studies of hysteria and formative psychoanalytic practice and the concept and method of catharsis which were major contributuions to some of Freud's theories. The letter reads, "Ich danke herzlich für ihre teilnahme and der feier meines achtzigsten geburtstages," which translated in english says, "Thank you very much for participating in the celebration of my eightieth birthday." The letter was written in May 1936.
