    Century Chinese export
    famille rose porcelain mug or cann, circa 1790.
    Condition: Minor rubbing to border enamels, otherwise in excellent condition consistent with age and usage. Please examine the photos; they are part of the description.
    Dimensions: Approximately 3 ¼” tall.
    Rim is decorated with a blue enamel gilt bordered band containing gold stars.
    Body is decorated with a pseudo-armorial shield containing a flower and surrounded by floral swags. There is a dove crest.
    It has intertwined rope handles.
    The foot is bordered with blue lozenges.
    The blue and gold star border is typical of pieces made for the American market.
